Becoming a pet?

Well, I would recommend doing a bunch of research, learning what it is about the lifestyle that you like and don't like. Talking to as many as you feel comfortable with that is in the lifestyle, be it doms and/or pets. And, if you already have an idea about all of that, then only thing left to do is to just be someones pet. But never just anyone's. You want to make sure the person who'll be your Owner will love you, cuddle you and treat you how you always wanted to be treated, and that you'll respect and love your Owner back.

Unless of course you're just asking how do you become a kitty, then the answer would be. Just be one. Get ears and a tail if you like, mew, be cute and adorable, behave as a kitty would. And above all else...HAVE FUN WITH IT!!

Thanks for your helpful advice i'm currently doing some research into this subject and so far it looks like it might be for me.

keep your mind open is the best advice i can give. contemplate the cat, contemplate the cat owner. which suits you more? get into that "zen" mode of whatever you pick. and be happy, and have fun!

If you have any good friends that are in and know about it and you'd feel comfortable test it out a little bit -- like have them try to "train" you or use leash/collar. Doesn't have to be too intense, but it gives a fair idea of what the experience might be like and whether or not you'd like it.

ooh, another thing... watch cats. your cats, your friends's cats, the crazy lady down the street's cats... you could even volunteer at an animal shelter. it's a good way to do volunteer work for the community, and you get to spend time with some really cute cats, helping them develop the social skills they need to find good homes! :D
