This is a little complicated, as my director hasn't given me a whole lot of idea on what she wants because she's so busy with other things right now, but that's okay because I have all the awesome people here~ ^^
So far, all I've gotten out of my director is "Dark but mischevious" and "crazy". Also, the two guys playing the Mad Hatter and March Hare have already decided that hey're goin' a bit "Steampunk"/Victorian with their costumes, and Amber (director) wants us all to match, so I'm trying to come up with a way to coincide with them, but also be, perhaps, a little more colorful... if that even makes sense...
It'd be absolutely AMAZING and out-of-this-world if I could come with a CATS-esque costume, but I have no idea where to even begin with something like that.. Otherwise, I'm not sure what kind of clothes the Cheshire Cat would wear, seeing as it's seriously, like, the only animal character that's always depicted like a fairly normal cat and isn't actually wearing clothes, contrary to the White Rabbit, March Hare, etc.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! ^.^ Love you all~

Steampunk Cheshire Cat.....omfgroflsauce I think I'm in love!!!
The first link should help a bit with the clothing bit and the others should give you some steampunky ideas. The last link is a sketch someone did; dont think you can pull it off in reality but again, its an idea source. http://www.ladiesemporium.com/ladies_victorian_clothing.php
IIieeeeeeee! After doing a little digging I found this post squirreled away someplace:
Alrighty. October is rapidly approaching and the time to start thinking of Halloween costumes is upon me! This year, I've decided to go with a steampunk Cheshire Cat idea. I'm trying to think of ways to convey both the awesomeness that is the steampunk genre with the creepiness that is the Chesire Cat.
So far, I'm thinking the predominant color will be black, as my friends and I will be inflicting our Alice In Wonderland costumes upon a local goth club. There will, of course, be the traditional pinks and purples mixed in. A tail is a must, as are ears.
Beyond that, I'm short on inspiration and bereft of decision-making powers. My brainstorming thus far has resulted in the following:
-Long fitted jacket (with tail) -Short fitted jacket -Shirt with high ruffled collar -Corset -Cane -Mini hat -Top hat -Claws (wolverine style) -Hair spiked all over the place (with pink and purple tips) -Joker style "Cheshire Cat" smile painted on
The next person mentioned not forgetting the pocket watch.
If you can't tell, I really dig Steampunk :) I'd try a lot of the stuff on Jake's page about modding my PC to look like his, but the last time I operated power tools I nearly maimed myself, so I just have to admire it from afar.
If you still wants the CATS-ish look, find a unitard the base colour you want and some fabric paint. Then go look at the spookyass Cheshire Cat KK posted in the other thread and go from there.

Oh, it's okay! If I can, I think I'm gonna go the Cats (musical) route, with a leotard and spray paint and fur and whatnot. The director seemed to like that idea, and it would be truer to the character. ^_^ But we'll see, haha.

I reeeeeally like those. O.O And they don't seem as fuzzy as the other ones, and they'd give the whole costume an eat color scheme... I was wondering what we'd do with my face if i went with just black and purple and then realized that I'm not sure if we could blacken my face, 'cause that'd be weird, and a lot of hassle for a two-performance show, so the lilac could offer an option, or even white would work.
I've suggested them to my director, but she hasn't gotten back to me. I might just go ahead and order them, though. *snicker*

I don't know if you've got your mind set on that or if you've considered using costumes (not really customizable.. the cheshire cat was pink and purple so costumes really follow that..)
This is so cute. It's a little "kiddy" but it even comes with the fluffy boot covers!
I think this costume is adorable : http://www.fiercecostumes.com/womens-cheshire-pink-kitten-costume-154.html
Depending on how revealing you can be this is adorable. You could pair it with some black tights or a black leotard similar to that of ballerina: http://www.alice-in-wonderland.net/cgi-bin/apf4/amazon_products_feed.cgi?Operation=ItemLookup&ItemId=B000HUTU0Y&myOperation=Image&templates=search
Nya. Sorry for all the links. I like trying to be helpful. Plus I'm a "stay at home kitten" and have nothing better to do, lol.
Good news! My director and I FINALLY agreed on something!
Bad news, none of it is what anyone suggested here, and I'm so sorry. I can't put into words how appreciative I am, though! Thank you all so much for all the awesome ideas!
