Welcome! I don't think it's rare to find dominant felines. I think it's just when you narrow it down from "feline" (which includes cats, jaguars, panthers, tigers, lionesses, etc.) to "kitten" that the archetype tends to swing heavily towards sweetness and childishness.

That said, I've been a dominant kitten from time to time. With my ex, whichever one of us was on top tended to switch back to being a human, but every now and then there's nothing like being the most AMAZINGLY SPOILED KITTEN IN THE WORLD with a devoted human slave. *reaches out paw and pets ex's head*
