As music plays a very important role in my life I wanted to know what different styles of music you listen to. This reeeally is a off topic xD
I myself listen to industrial and gothic music. My favourite band at the moment is Centhron. If you want to hear an example just listen to the following video:
I prefer metal myself. And no, not all metal is the screaming growling, can't understand a word type of music =^.^= I actually like harmonic and goth metal. Within Temptation is my favorite band. Similar ones are Lacuna coil, and Leaves Eyes. For some serious metal though, Ram-zet is awesome!

I also have a very eclectic taste in music. My favorite band of all time, however, is Guns N Roses. No question. But I like a lot of stuff. NightWish Jethro Tull Gratefull Dead MeatLoaf Arlo Guthrie (LOOOVE him. Alice's Restraunt is brilliant!) Some classic 80's rap, too....and showtunes. I'll probably regret not including more bands, but I could go on forever, so I'll stop now.
DAVID BOWIE. *cue angelic choir* Blaqk Audio Cradle of Filth Meatloaf Trans-Siberian Orchestra Nightwish Gwen Stefani Marilyn Manson Mindless Self Indulgence The Killers
And other than particular bands, I listen a lot of random movie, musical and movie-musical soundtracks, which are extremely difficult to categorize. ^^; I love anything and everything glam, dark, 80's... my taste is just plain RANDOM, to be quite honest. xD

OMG you guys really got the taste! xD Everything I read by now I either like or I don't know it yet
Just discovered a new band and I must say it's like one of the most beautiful music styles I've ever heard. The language they sing is ancient german or some times ancient french. And the lyrics are from medieval poets. The band is called Helium Vola.
If I tried to post everything, my list would dwarf that gigantic thing of Jynx's... My iPod only has about a third of my stuff on it and iTunes is already telling me four days of unrepeated music.
Currently listening to She Wants Revenge - Monologue. How can you not love a song whose chorus is:
This is the time of night, when the moonlight shines down and we can reveal who we truly are, within the darkest, most depraved of joys. If you're afraid to say but you'd like to try, just give me the safe word and take your hand and smack me in the mouth, my love.
