I think more tutorials/how-to's would be a great idea. My curious mind is always looking for something to do and I would love to see how other people make stuffs.

Your idea for "talk dirty to me" sounds fun as well. Master and I say a lot of stuff in public that tends to grab a lot of attention in certain places lolz.

One idea (but it has nothing to do with kittens): Post an interesting picture. We seem to have quite a few members who like taking pictures. How about a group to post fun things/signs/stuff we see around town?

Speaking of pictures (which I think is a great idea ^-^) maybe a dedicated art section for our members to show off all their art. That way there is a place to show off drawings, paintings, etc as well as photos!

I like all the ideas posted thus far. Maybe in addition to the art, we could have a story section too. I've seen some posts wanting kitten fics. Perhaps the kitties and the owners could post stories of their own, be they fiction or from their own adventures.

I'll even get started on a nice little story now to christen it. *dives into a pile of paper, looking for catnip scented pencil*

A How To page would be awesome as well -- I'm sure that there are so many ideas from everyone around here, having them all organized in one spot would be pretty epic. *nods*

What about a new group for Masters and kittens involved in Long Distance Relationships. Perhaps some discussions on how LDR couples make their relationship work and ideas for keeping in touch and what not.

I would very much like to see a more BDSM related section, Something with a bit more dark overtones and acutal BDSM (not that kitten play isn't, I just mean the more hardcore stuff).

Training technique discussions are also something I really enjoy I would love to see more of that. If we had a literature Section I would just HAVE to post somethings then I love to write and it might get me in the mood to do some more writing.

I would like to point out it does seem things are a bit loose on the 18+ delination and I think we need to tighten up on that should we start getting more aggressive with the Fetish scene and pictures and stories.

No offense to anyone intended by this, but I think if we came up with a way to regularly update the main page with something like once a month/week in the news it might help a lot as well. Now anyone who happens to come across the site may think its abandoned if they don't bother to check the forums.

I think we have some very good ideas so far though, and perhaps we could also expand some of the sections on the main page? A little community involvement never hurt anyone right? :P

I agree with Tiger. Upon visiting the site initially, I was under the impression that it was inactive. If I hadn't stumbled upon the forums, I never would have known that the kitty community was alive and kicking.

I think it might be...well, it could go either way. It could end up boring, but it could also be nice to have a Daily Life section that's only tangentially related to kittenplay. I mean, on an average day, I spend a couple of hours max as a kitten and the rest as a kittenish human. I'd have a lot more stuff to contribute if I could post "Today I got my grad school acceptance in the mail!" or "Yesterday, I realized I misplaced my new kitty print underwear before I ever had a chance to wear them and today I went to FIVE BRANCHES of the store I bought them from and they were all sold out."

It could be boring, but it could also be interesting and build a sense of community. It seems like a lot of people join the forums, ask their one or two kitten-related-questions and then have nothing left to say.

I like the idea of a Daily Life section. I do find I do things differently or look at situations differently, from a kitten point of view and there are non-kitten stuff that would be nice to share. We have a nice community here and it would be nice to share in our friends accomplishments and struggles.

Yes, the main page really does need to be kept current. I also thought the site was abandoned and clicked on Forum by accident.

What about a section for things related to sex?
Like talking about different positions, fantasies, ideas, favorite things, etc.

Maybe we are all discreet kitties? I know I feel funny if I talk in too much detail about what my ex and I did in the bedroom. It's seeecret! Just between us! (Not that I have a problem if anyone else wants to discuss that, of course. I'm just giving an explanation for why I personally am not contributing to the sex talk).

We already have the "this or that" thread but we could have other games like word association, what song are you listening to, last movie/show watched, and all those are silly but fun forum games.

I like Nekogirl's latest suggestion. We do have a picture *thread* but that's more an introductory-type thing: "Here's what I look like. Got the picture? The end." I'm kind of a camera shy kitty (well. I am not shy about attacking cameras) but surely there are some kitties here who want to post lots and lots of pictures of themselves.

we need to find out how many kittens are very camera happy, and try doing things like making kittenplay calendar apps. I was shown the site because of the how to on the tail. Also the HTML on the front page made me think the site was brand new because I couldn't see any buttons to click. On IE the flower frames hid the buttons. There should definitely be a few kittens allowed site access so that updates can move more smoothly. Site access is usually able to be given in limited amounts such as forums.

I can't wait to showcase videos and pictures!!!!!

Oh also Sui, the anonymous post should be converted into a forum maybe so that we can have the anonymity forum where people admit things or ask the questions they never can. Some guests might really be interested in learning things about themselves. The original thread could be a sticky where no commenting is allowed, and the other threads can be open to comments. Some people want answers to questions they can't ask. That would make us a great leap in kitten focused discussion boards.

I prefer not straying too far from the kitten focus so I hope that a BDSM board would still mainly tie in with kitten themes. I think all the members are sharing it so it probably won't die, but the issue I ran into on the homepage really needs addressed if others have noticed it.

Oh, and can we add to the member profiles contact information for those seeking buddies?

Sui! Thanks so much for starting this thread. I think there's a lot of great ideas. Updates to the main page I think are most essential. I know she's been super-busy, but maybe she'd be willing to share her admin responsibilities with one or two of the senior members to keep the site fresh.
I'm definitely digging the how-to section. I've been waiting to get one of those kittenplay tails for like a year+ and I think I'm just gonna have to break down and make one. Maybe we can convince her to do a video the next time she makes one. How-to videos always help.
I like the idea ofthe BDSM section too and the talk dirty to me (although shy kitty prolly won't do too much dirty talk *blush blush*).
Games sound fun. I, like Janet, probably won't join in the sex threads either, but I'll sure read them.
What about the Art section having subsections. You could do Fictions, Visual Art, Videos, photography, poetry.... etc.

I'm really just rehashing everybody else's ideas and giving my thumbs up for them. I feel some of my own swimming about in my head there, but they're not wanting to surface right now. (could be the late hour)

I figure those who wish could contribute our own photos and it would be easy to pull together from so far apart, if anyone else thinks it's a good idea I can set up a month sign up thread and get the ball rolling. I figure if revenue is generated we could donate to the biological kittens out there.

As someone who got really excited about this place when it first came out (if you check, I have a couple of the first posts here) and then wandered off, I know I would like to see the place revived. I only check it infrequently.

That said, as Kimono says, it really takes someone with admin priviledges to do something to bring the place back. That or perhaps someone starting a sister site. Also taking advantage of existing communities to bring more members in (for instance, starting a fetlife.com group that could attract members)

Of course, you have to consider what *kind* of attention you want. A pics calender would be scrumtious, but might bring the wrong kind of attention to the place if it was successful in attracting people.

I would suggest doing more community activity sorts of deals - the skype one is a good idea for that. I know as someone who doesn't have a kitty currently (<unhappiness> 3 years since my last serious D/s relationship) getting more single kitties in would be nice too. And the best way to do that is to have the girls go out as nice friendly faces and attract some to us! That's what made kittenplay great to start with - Isabella put a great face & personality to the site, something classy and friendly while still being kinky, and that's what I think we need more of.

Here's my suggestion - let's organize the group chat, maybe just regular chat in case some are scared of voice, see if it can be a weekly thing if it goes well. Some people there will definitely be the go-getter types who can hash out organizing further plans.

If I get at least 2 replies/PM's saying peopel would be interested (at least to have a small nucleus) I'll set up a time within a week and give people connection details. :) So reply if you're still up for a group chat!

It depends on how classy the calender is.

I do agree that we need help with re-vamping the site, more moderators with admin abilities.

Fetlife idea is pretty good but people who operate in there will expect a more of a sense of security (even if it's false), at the very least it would be nice to require people to create an account and undergo a waiting period to view the forums

Well i have a kitty site too and i talk about this place A LOT... Its still under construction... but i already have 4 members without counting me... I could try pulling them in x3. Also i had thought of making a guild in a site that has tons of members... the guild would be about kitten play (duh) and advertise the site there as well...

Umm... Also doing that on youtube with kitty blogs could help a lot i think...
