There's a thread about this somewhere or other, sort of a debate about whether men can be anything other than dominant and women can be anything other than submissive when with men *wrinkles nose* I tried to represent the female-switch viewpoint, but my back was kinda against the wall.

I think for some people (especially me) it really depends on the nature of the person I'm with and the level of experience.

I agree - switching on occasion can be a lot of fun. X3

i think it's also a matter of preference, as well as partner. when i was with my exes, i was always the submissive. while i could never be a dom, i'm willing to take control when i REALLY want it. i could very easily be an equal, but never a dom.

and then, i wouldn't mind if my owner was a woman--i've often handed my leash to a very sweet young lady. true, the circumstances are different in a same-sex relationship. but there are women who very naturally have that "take command" attitude, and i thoroughly respect that!

Lol, actually, often I find myself more willing to dominate women but I prefer to be dominated by men. I used to be a little more staunch about that until recently, but it still follows a similar pattern. I think its part of the ingrained ideas of society that are impressed upon us from our youth.
