So, I've never been gagged with anything other than a tie (*rolls her eyes at her cheapo ex) and I'm thinking of adding one to my own personal toy collection for future use. I've been doing a bit of research.
It seems like the bit gag would be a bit easier on the mouth, except for stretching around the corners, but it wouldn't stretch the jaw as much. But the ball is the standard and can be made smaller. I'm personally leaning towards the bit as the balls scare me ever since I saw the movie Jawbreaker.
Anyone out there with experience for the pros and cons of both?
wile gags are a personal preference for many, there are some things you can do to make a better choice for yourself.
1 - what do you want to use the gag for? just for muffling/making unable to speak properly (they so dont stop sound :P), salviating and being unable to respond verbally to questions or commands,etc..
2 - how often/how long do you want to use the gag and do you want to use it alone or in combination with other things like a blindfold for example
if you wish to use it with a blindfold always it might be a idea to look up a few hoods with gags. if you wish to be unable to respond, or othweise verbally communicate, you might be more inclined in bit/ball gags.
also to keep in mind are some things like kissing, biting, blowjobs etc....
it's alwas a personal thing but i myself prefer gags along this:
I think ball gags are slightly better at stopping sound, but you can still make noise through them. Bit gags don't do a whole lot. Between the two, it's mostly just aesthetics and how they feel. A bit gag will be easier for long periods of wear.
To actually stop sound I find a pair of panties soaked in warm water and stuffed in the mouth, held in place by a tie with duct tape over the top works better than both ball and bit.
I'm a bit of a violent kitty..so mostly it'd be to get me to stop biting...everything when I get into that mood. >.> Sound isn't so much the issue as my Master has managed to keep me quiet with just his voice. The gag is more for a play aspect than a true function (I know very well it's not nice to bite ).
