Ive just found this tonight. Are there many male kittens on here. Its pretty late so I havent searched too hard.

There seem to be far more female kittys around in general.

there are some, yes. i'm female, though. heh.

i think maybe there might be more females (or people who identify best as a female, like angelbelle) because cats are seen as slightly more feminine and graceful. however, i can also see male (or people who identify best as male) kitties, because they're strong and playful!

i think it's very interesting to look into the way people think about it... =)

Male kitty here. I can safely say that short of this forum I've met all of three other male kitties in ANY other setting, real life, internet, etc.

I think a lot of it has to do with the ol' "dog is man's best friend" thing, emphasis on the man part. I've met quite a few male puppies, moreso than female puppies. Men identify with dogs more, broadly, or at least its perceived as more acceptable.

I mew in my sleep. I was screwed from the get go. :P

I'm a guy kitty. Thought I'd bring this up. I also think I may have posted on the gender difference at one point, but I was moe concerned with female owners.

I am obviously not a cat myself, but I do adore teh kittehs.

And yesterday I had a meeting with the most wonderful male cat. I have to admit, I was sort of unsure about the concept earlier - a stereotypical cat for me has always been a tiny, helpless kitten, in need of warmth, love and grooming. But this meeting completely changed (or to be more exact - gave) me an understanding of the male kitten dynamics. And I have to say I love it and from this day on male kittens are welcome as well. One day I will be living in a house with a big fireplace and all visiting kittens can all curl up on the rug in front of it and stretch and sleep and purr as much as they wish.

Oh yes - this particular cat also possessed martial arts powers. Teh awesome!

I'm a male kitten! Albeit a very timid and shy one...as I mentioned in my introduction in the litter box, I find it too hard to trust people I've never met in person to form a petlike bond with them, but I've gotten to where I don't mind talking a bit on forums ^_^

I've just never really been in an online community like this...XD I guess I'm trying to get over some inhibitions, lol.
But I have a great update! I don't have an owner yet, but a friend of mine from when I was in college said she'll be like a "pet-sitter" for me until I find one ^____^

Very...we had an online play session for me last night (I would usually see her in person, but she lives 2 hours away now >_<).
It was great, and I loved being able to just let things go...I've had a lot of stress lately T_T
