I umm... Gor... thats somethin'.

I can understand why you're scared by the whole thing. Most people who like to RP Gor in real life take it to some kind of extreme. I'll quote some text from actual Gor books so you can see the silly Sci-Fi and terrible writing. Its fun!

Earth girls have a reputation on Gor of being among the lowest and hottest of slaves. There are doubtless various reasons for this. Perhaps one is that Earth girls are alien to Gor and have no Home Stones. They are thus subjected to unmitigated predation and total domination. They are slave animals, completely. Gorean men, accordingly, treat them as such. In turn, of course, their womanhood is reborn and blossoms, as it can only in a situation in which the order of nature both obtains and flourishes.
A second reason, I suspect, why Earth girls make such astoundingly desirable slaves is their backgrounds. Accordingly, when an Earth female finds herself translated to Gor, she finds herself for the first time in the presence of large numbers of men to whom nature and power are not anathema. Moreover, she is likely to find herself belonging to them. Beyond this, of course, is the culture itself, for all its possible defects and faults, which is one which has been constructed to be congenial to the natural biological order, and neither antithetical nor contradictory to it. The culture has not suppressed the biotruths of human nature, but found a place for them.

i agree with you but i would like you to say that to Jarlys face she defends this lifestyle like a religon i like the aspect she puts it in she dosent punish unless she has to wich with me and my dad is never since i am a kitty and she takes a likeing to felines being one herself and my dad as well he is a furry and a lion weird i know but i live with it from what i have read there is no safe word
my kink isnt important and most of all there is no safe sane and senseual but i know she wont do anything with me yet im still in trainingand she wont do anything with my Mistress unless there is pictures or a video

I would happily debate the merits of treating somebody like a spoon or fork. Its not so much that the slavery is so objectionable in general, its the extent that people take it, Gorean or not. I get that those who like being treated like an object will seek out somebody to treat them like an object, whatever floats your boat I guess... I'm not in the frame of mind to go off on a tangent about my opinions on that.

What I find troubling are the great majority of stories I hear about Gor, and how close it resembles scientology in the hypocricy and religious following they both garner.

Let me clarify: there is nothing wrong with roleplaying, nothing wrong with fetishes, blah blah blah... When it becomes a lifestyle, thats when you have to take a critical eye and examine if its really a good thing for you, and them.

well with taking roleplaying to a lifestyle you got furries i am proud to be such i love being a slave but she dosent treat me as a tool i am her kitten like she treats me exactly like a kitten is treated and i like that now Mistress has just left her service finally but im staying i love jarly ina diffrent way from Mistress Katt it hurts alot more when i am not with Mistress katt but it hurts when jarly isnt on either im still alittle scared of the whole gorean thing i have read and is reading up on it there are some things that jarly does break since she adds alittle furry touch with a dash of BDSM with it to create somthing diffrent but at the same time is gorean well in the meantime i guess i cant always use the help and advice you guys got and i will listen since as i said before im new to this

Gorean "lifestyle" is a huge step - even for someone who is a full-time Dom or Sub.

all i can actualy give as advice is to read the books, you can find the books of Gor online in .txt format, or a bookstore/libery.

in my eyes it is probably the single best way to learn about "gorean" BDSM.

if you have specific questions about it, i'd be happy to help, but generaly you should read the books. (or at least some of them to get a understanding)

Well that depends on the "Gorean". Some can seperate the reality from the fantasy aspect of it. They know that in reality things are much differnt then in the books. If you find a Master or Mistress who understands common sence and logic. Things could go well. I see myself as a mixture, Im Gorean, however I also mix Bdsm, and D/s into my lifestyle. Where Gor fails in reality, the other two take it's place. As for seeing girls as objects, thats not the case for me. I see a slave/Sub/kitten etc as being valuble, precious. After all they are doing there best to please, and why shouldn't love and respect be returned to them? I know I'm differnt then most though, but just wanted to let it be known that while (many) of them might see girls as objects. There is a group of us that have an alternate view.
