Hey all you kitties out there, have you ever felt this? Im talking about the insatiable urge to SCRATCH AT THINGS.... For me there is a definite fixation, almost like a nicotine fit, when it comes to my nails (claws lol). Digging my claws into fibrous material like hemp rope, corduroy, leather, fur, canvas and carpet brings about this indescribable feeling, almost like pain that dosent hurt, under my nails that is damn near addictive.
I also abhor cutting my nails short. I realise this isnt a problem for you lady kitties cause you're allowed to have longer nails but as a guy I have to keep a happy median between short and long that is "socialy" acceptable. If i had a choice I'd groom them longer than they are but such is life.
So.... how many of you have a need to claw or scratch at things? Does it carry over into your public life unconsiously? Have ya ever gotten in trouble cause of it?
Let me know, thanks!

I don't claw as much as I chew everything in sight..... My master had some very nice bruises when we first came together and he had no clue how to make me stop. lol
huh... i guess scratching n clawing at stuff isnt as popular as I assumned. Thats cool. Pawing and kneading are sexy as hell though, and biters are always fun, lol. I guess I'm just one of those over testosteroned kitties that has stress issues and takes it out on scratchin posts and carpeting, he he he

Scratching is something I don't do much... however I have a very bad habit of biting people. Mainly my mom's fault because of how I was treated when I was little, but now whenever Master lifts his hand flat above me (he's taller than me, so it's hard for him not to when he raises his arms) I bite him because I think he's going to hit me... he never does, but it's just one of those psychological things I has D;
