Kitty accessories in public

At anime-cons which I frequent I seen plenty, plenty of girls running around with kitty ears. Especially when they're being sold. I think it's cute, but oddly enough I wouldn't wear my ears in public. My boyfriend is a very private person, who winces at me posting on this forum would be mortified if I ever brought bedroom stuff outside the bedroom. I have seen girls wear ears in bookstores walking around with their mothers. I dunno how I feel about that yet...

I wear my cat ears almost every time I go out. Very rarely I will wear my tail as well. I've never really recieved any really horrible comments about my wearing cat ears (I also wear a collar all the time...). Actually, most people will laugh, and I think somehow when I wear my ears people find me more approachable. Like, "why would I be afraid to talk to the girl in the cat ears?" So non-threatening. :)

We only live once. If I spent my life worring about what other think of me, I would do hardly anything at all that I enjoy doing.

If its alright to wear kitten ears and a collar on Halloween, why not November 26th?.. Admittedly though, I would never ask my kitten to wear her collar ears or tail in public. Not out of wanting to keep things private, but because I know there are people out there who pick on those who are different, and looking like a kitten is pretty different, (unless you are at an expo, or some other accepting place)

i got 2 collars now i have a collar with bells on it and i get looks yes but i dont seem to care since somtimes girls and guys compliment me on being brave or somtimes think it looks sexy on me then i got my bondage collar that i made from an old belt and some big key rings i only wear that if mistress makes me but even then i somtimes refuse and run away like a scared kitten but that is just me

I'm always wearing my ears and collar. My collar even has a jingly bell and a little blue or pink heart charm. Most of the time I get some looks, and then there are others that come up to me and say "Oh you are so cute!" I've even had people say "You are such a pretty kitty, your master must be so proud of you" and those comments just make my day. There are other times when people are not so nice to me and make fun of me. but I always try to remember the nice people who make my day. =^.^=

I wear my collar far more often than my ears or tail. I need a new one, since one collar is just a Halloween snap on one, and my other is rather large-ish.

It was the closest I could find to those sparkly collar things big cats wear in magic shows. I would love to find a large bell to put on it rather than the tag. That has since been removed since my ex gave me the tag.

It would probably help a little bit, maybe not enough to justify purchasing a hole puncher. The collar is narrower where it buckles than the rest of it. :{ It was my stupidity that I didn't measure my neck before I ordered it. lol

In my neighborhood, there are a bunch of these sort of...combination shoe repair/tailor/locksmitch places (I don't know why these jobs go hand in hand) who have punched holes in my belts/shoe straps when I needed them tighter. They might be able to punch a hole in the collar.

You know with Christmas coming up Miss Silver, you could go to any story and look for a big bell, I see them all the time at like Target or even a craft store would have them, and relatively cheap too, that's where I got my bell, its just a small one, but it works =^.^=

And to Miss Joli, I have hissed at someone before, and their reaction was quite amusing, but Master had to pull me back before I got to aggressive.

anime cons are the best place to get away with wearing ears and tail.
Though last night I went to a club in denver called Sugar house where they were having a Masters and Servants party, I got to be on leash and wear ears/tail! ^-^

One place you might try is craft/fabric stores like Michael's or the equivalent, or you could even try asking at your neighborhood music store (depending on the type & size you're looking for). When I decided to make a "Cat-Girl Barbie", I had pretty good luck at my local craft store, so they should be able to help you out. Right now, with Xmas just around the corner, you might also try holiday decorations as well. Hope this helps you out, nyao!

in feburary there is radcon in washington i can wait to go i am hoping to be able to get my costume this year. i may evn make a new kitty tail for it =^_^= if i can get my costume i am going to be a neko shinobi from the village hidden in the catnip lol..... but this all hinges on if my friend gets a job by then cause him and his girlfriend would be my ride. but i have worn my cat ears and tail out in public to a goth night at one of the local bars oh and was cross dressing as well so it was fun..... =^_^=

On top of my DJ headphones I attached some cat ears that I wear to all of my rave parties that I host. I even made some special paws that are large, but have padding in them to help keep their shape, but I cut small finger holes in them so I still work buttons and everything. A lot of people think its cute, but I only wear them during the summer for my parties.

Well, I have yet to wear my kitty ears out (mainly because they're brand new), but back in the day when I did wolf-puppy play, I would wear my wolf tail, collar, and occasionally my ears out. My ears were on a knit-cap kind of deal, so most people thought they were kind of cute. And when I was in high school I wore a tail enough that I started a fad >>. I had never seen so many dead animal parts in a school before that year.

My neighbors never seemed to appreciate my wearing extra body parts, when I walked to school and they saw me they would turn around and question my mother. Like SHE knows anything more then they did. Lol.

I wear anything anywhere, I could care less because either way I seem to attract weird looks, might as well give them something to gawk at. ^^

Ive never worn anything abnormal in public other than on Halloween. I would but Im super shy when it comes to that kind of thing, but I think its fine to wear it. The people who think its inappropriate are usually the people I wouldnt want to be around anyway.

Now a days I wear my ears just I can get attention for other people, cuz everyone knows that Master doesn't give me attention, so I have to get it from others. A lot of the time its negative attention, but at least it's more then what Master gives me.

i love dressing up for halloween (my college professors ask "are you going to dress up again?"), but i have actually never gone as a cat! i really wouldn't mind wearing my ears or collar out of the house, but master wouldn't like that. so i said i would make myself a cat ear hat, because no one would question that! they wouldn't even think twice! :D

well, now that my ex is out of my life... i wear ears when i remember them, my tail on special occasions, and my bell collar when i feel like it. with my nickel allergy, though, i can't wear my collars all the time.

You could get a collar with steel instead of nickel. Or you can have the nickel powder coated. Or you can use clear nail polish (this one only works for some people.)

Some friends and I used to wear ears, collars, leashes, and tails in public. We usually got some funny looks, but I don't think its something that I would do on my own. I hate drawing attention to myself, its not so bad though when you're being walked with others by Mistress though.

Lol, usually I dont wear anything outside of conventions and holidays but once or twice I did wear my tail out around town with my furfag (I'm a furry -- ears and tail arent all that strange XD) friends. A cop came up to us while we were hanging around Starbucks (it was night) and asked us who was barking. We didnt have any dogs with us, so we were like "nope wasn't us"; but since most of us were wearing some form of ears/tail ect, I had to explain it :x

That was awkward... XD

He was actually pretty polite about it considering XD He was like "its good you kids are doing something ... you're not doing drugs." I think he was a little confused is all. Lol.
