I never decided to become one - i was one. i am a slave and my nature is that similar to a kitten so it never was a situation of 'oh im going to be your little pet and im going to be a kitten' it just ........... was

I've always loved nekos as long as I can remember (First having seen them from various animes)
But it wasn't until I became heavily involved in the BDSM scene that I noticed there was lots of petplay, but 0 kitten play, I guess thats when I decided to start being different at the events, dressing as a kitten etc, loads of people were interested which led to the creation of this site :)
I just know it's when I am most content.

Im the same way, I've always loved cats and wanted to be one, and after discovering petplay I knew I wasnt one to fetch or give rides...I was a playful little kitty

I've been told from time to time I'm like a cat, but usually the good time. I can raise my fur and have a hissy fit if you rile me up enough too

I'm the same as Kitten. I've just always been one. It never really came out until I dug a little into petplay, and decided it would be interesting to try. My Mistress saw cat-like tendencies in me, and as she's allergic to cats, she decided I was going to be her kitten from then on.

i found out i was a catabout 9 moths ago i think this lead to me being a furry and after my whole self finding moment i told my friends and they said i acted like a cat somtimes always climbing stuff in the school theater chasing small moving objects sensetive hearing the fact that my ears are my "spot" and that i eat catnip to calm down and that all cats play and cuddle with me everytime i see one i was into BDSM for a time and all that and all my experiances with my ex gf was catlike i would purr and knead and such and now it just feels natrual

i guess it started before i met my Master (my first and Only) when i was just fascinated by different aspects of sex and fetishes, especially the BDSM scene. Pet play always interested me. After i met my Master, he really introduced me into a BDSM relationship and then saw kitten tendencies in me. =^.^=

Well, I've always been a bit "petish". I love being cared for and loved.. Played with, and adored. :)

Before I met my current Master, I had a Mistress who wanted a Bunnygirl. :) I had a lot of fun with that role, but I have to say, I prefer being a kitty. :)

I guess I also have a lot of cat-like mannerisms, as Master tells me.

I've always thought I should have been Egyptian, what with my ridiculous fascination for cats, lol, then I became fascinated with the BDSM lifestyle about a year ago. I didn't actually get into the scene until a month or two later, however. And I still have SO MUCH to learn. (And buy! O.O)

And it wasn't until fairly recently, within the past month or so--not even, probably, now that I think about it--that I REALLY started focusing on the petplay aspect of D/s. Anytime I discussed being a sub, I'd always say how I wanted to be more like a pet than a normal submissive. Then I found Miss A's videos on YouTube and immediately like "OMG. THERE IT IS." Haha. ^^

I don't know why it took me so long, honestly. When I was little, I acted like animals ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME. I've giggled out of nowhere a few times upon remembering how I'd tie jumpropes around my neck and have neighborhood kids lead me around. It's ridiculous going back to that time now and realizing, at 20 years old, what I was actually doing before I even turned ten! xD It all makes so much sense all of a sudden, lol.

I also happen to be very lucky to have had someone available whom I trust and admire to go to to learn more about the BDSM scene, and to offer myself to as a sub/pet. (Love_Bunny) ^_^

(P.S. I'd be more than happy to learn some more about bunnyplay, too, if anyone would be so kind as to share what they know, either in a more appropriate section or in PM. :3 And sorry about the rambling. I tend to do that, in case anyone hasn't noticed yet. Lol.)

Well, unfortunately when I was younger, I was treated as a little empress...or a house pet, in some ways. (Aye, there's quite a lengthy explanation as to why that was the case, but anyhow..)
When I hit my early teens, that all changed...and I found myself missing the little pats on the head, new frilly dresses/accessories/hugs/snuggles. I wanted to feel special again.

Being quite the sensitive little thing I am, I had a very small fear of dating casually. I knew I wanted to be with somebody who would take care of me and love me the way a father would, his child....or the way an owner would, his kitten. *tiny smile*

Eventually I found myself in front of the television, late one night...and there happened to be this show on about pony-play. After watching the one hour episode....I knew what it was that I wanted to do. (Only....this little gal didn't want to be a pony. No, she wished to be a bunny. However...within a few days, that all changed. *wiggles her nose* Tis a lot more exciting to be a kitten~! So budda-bam! A new kitten was awakened.)

well..... honestly its the only animal I identify with other then the Jackal. Im one of those weird, straight looking, bisexual guys that kind of has different mannerisms around different people. In fetish terms I am subordinate and a kitty to strong willed people and to submissives I take on my jackal persona and am more dominant.

I've always been attuned to my wild side and the petplay idioms are the easiest way for me to express myself sexualy and emotionaly.

I've always identified with pets. When I was younger I used to pretend to be a horse or a rabbit or another animal, depending on my mood. At the moment I'm trying to settle on which animal fits me best. The problem is that I'm so used to playing so many different parts of my personality that part of me falls into the pony role sometimes, then my master has me pegged as a kitten, and then there's the puppy part of me that yearns to be trained. Long story short, being a pet just appeals to something to me that I've always had but didn't identify until recently.

lets see...mine didn't start until I was experimenting with my ex. At that time I tried puppy and pony play. I loved being a pet instantly when we decided to try it. I've always been kittenish. I have friends with whom I'll converse in meows and other weird animal noises (we're not silly enough to actually believe we're having a conversation. It's all just based on vocal inflection, but we do it.) I even used to meow to my parents (I stopped doing that once kitten stuff became a part of my romantic relationships though).

And I just sort of inspire people to treat me like a kitten for some reason and I LIKE being treated like a kitten. In high school, all my friends used to pat my head, and I like being stroked and I watch dust mites. And I've always been really cute and sweet and bratty, so...

I wouldn't say I've always been a kitten, just that the possibility was always there. My ex really brought it out in me through a fluke. *shrugs* The first time I bottomed to her (which was the first time I bottomed to anyone), she called me kitten as a pet name, so the word sort of got imbued with all the things I was feeling at that moment and...well. That was the final nail in the coffin.

Well, when I was about 12 I found out about porn and began to watch it and masturbate to it all the time (I promise I didn't jus through that in there, just because, it's sort of part of my reasoning) Anyway I because obsessed with it pretty much, but I grew bored, it was always the same. So I would read fanfiction of some of my favorite Animes. Anyway so now here we are, both trying something we've never done, and both thought we'd never be able to. By the way, I'm almost twenty now...I waited 5 years before telling a soul. My Master was the first one I told, then I told my family, and surprisingly, it was like they'd already knew before I did.

Not only did you actually have the confidence to tell your FAMILY, but they accepted it without so much as an argument? That's amazing.

tell the family eh... damn, i wish i could tell my/her folks about what we do in detail. they know "we do stuff" that isn't exactly vanilla, but they have no idea what we actually do. and i doubt they could accept it. they'd tolerate it - after all, they're parents/in-laws. but i dont think they'd ever accept it.

like someone said somewhere: I cold tell them i'm gay and they'd be "oh, okay - if thats what you want". if i told them i like tying up the wife and taking her on walks on a leash and they'd send me to a shrink before i could blink :P

Hmm...why did I become a pet? I enjoy the bdsm lifestyle, there's a deeper level of trust than that of a vanilla relationship, or so I have found to be true with me. There's so much to try and explore, even as a domme there was never any lack of excitement. When I met Sir, I knew I could trust him enough to care for me and not abuse me emotionally or physically (I have a strong trust issue), and though we do have tough spots, we get through them and we're always better for it. I love being a pet now. I don't think I can ever feel as free or as loved if I weren't. And it's just too damn fun!

And my family knows I'm a BDSM'er. When my sisters first found out, they laughed and said "THAT SO FITS YOU!". My mum's response: "I don't care what you do, just be married first!" *laughs and shakes her head* Poor innocent mum. =^.^=

Personally, I just like the aspect of being loved in the same way one would love a cat. It's more unconditional, and more protective, I guess.

Plus, I like the "owned" aspect of it. I like to feel like I'm someone's property, in a respectful way. (I guess that's because I'm a masochist, mentally.) For some reason, I like being told what to do, whether or not I want to do it. (Unless it's someone I don't know- then it makes me mad XD.) Example- in school, I would never volunteer to read a part for a play, but I would more than love to do it if a teacher asked me to. I also would want to present first when doing a project, but would never volunteer- I only wished to be called upon.

I suppose it is my extremely humble and shy personality- that is afraid to act without direction- that leads to my romantic desire to have a stronger personality in control. It is just a rather comforting feeling for me. I rely heavily on the opinions and directions of others, because I am afraid that I will disappoint them if I'm not giving them exactly what they want. That's why kitten play is a good outlet for me, I believe. Sure, maybe another animal would work, but I'm a sensitive girl, and I feel that cats or bunnies require a more gentle approach, than would a dog or a pony.

When I was a little girl, I often used to pretend I was a cat. I would meow and demand to be stroked and treat like a kitty. I forgot about that until I reached adulthood (my teenage sexlife was more orientated towards bondage and D/s without deeper roles) and then it all came back to me out of nowhere. Felt more natural than anything I'd ever done sexually. My husband and I investigated it, played some games and tried things out... different roles and soforth. Im with a few others here, I dont really sub/pet outside of sexual situations. I will but only if the other person means it, if they joke around then no thanks, but if they mean it as much as I do then I will. And if It's sub during sex, you gotta try a little harder, Im a switch but a dom at heart.

And as for why im (Partly) a pet, well it just seems natural sometimes, I like pleasing people.

I've always acted like a cat ever since I was little. This may be because all of the pets my parents bought me were cats and they were my only friends. My parents were never around to give me attention, so I played with my kitty, Sally. I used to eat cat treats when I was bored as well. High school is when I decided to finally make myself look like what I was though (well, just the tail and ears). The person I wanted for a Master since I was little, finally noticed me my Freshman year. We went to a convention together, we gave me an excuse to wear my kitty items. Why I'm a kitten? Hmm..

Well, I've always gotten a warm fuzzy feeling inside whenever my friend called me cute.
So when she mentioned to me that she would love to have her very own catboi..
Well.. my thoughts rarely strayed from the idea of being her cat.
Can't put into words how happy I was when she agreed to train me, and be my owner.

The more I learned about Kittenplay the more I realized how much it suited me. As a kitten I feel.. comfortable. Much more comfortable then I have ever felt before.
The feeling of being cute, small, helpless and of course, loved. Thar be nothing likes it, nopes.

I have her to thank for it. She's got my undying love and loyalty.

my bf (he's now my fiance and Master :D) used to call me his kitten, mainly because of my kittenish traits, my liking to cuddle, purr and meow, my curious streak, my love of naps :) i always had a kittenish side to me, meowing and purring, my mum always told me i walk on little cats feet i was so quiet lol, always love cats :) personality-wise, very much like a cat, a bit moody, sometimes i wanna be all affectionate and cuddling, sometimes playful, sometimes sleeping LOTS hehe, sometimes i just wanna be off by myself. the mood changes, sudden random meows, and my ability to be unheard when i walk (even in heels!) tends to drive my mum insane and also startle the crap out of her (i live at home hehe). so i tone it down a bit...

my screen name was kitten in second life (Master and i used our nicknames for each other as our names there lol), and everyone always asked me if i was a neko, which at the time, i didn't even know what the heck a neko was. but since i was named kitten, and i'd purr, and just be myself, my very kittenish self, they'd assume i was and ask me why i wasn't wearing a tail and ears lol. now i am neko there (tail, ears and even some cute paws!), though not all the time, and i love it in second life, can't wait for the real thing with my Master :)

Master loves my kitten side and just encourages me to be myself (the only one i can fully be myself with, both good and bad sides), and the more i am myself, the more the kitten comes out, just as my sub side comes out. my Master has even talked about me wearing a tail and ears sometimes when i move to be with him, and i couldn't be happier, i love being his kitten.
i am a kitten to the core, just as i am sub to the core, but if i didn't have him, i would never have had the chance to see the full extent of who i am. so... i am a kitten, but my Master is the reason this kitten is a pet :)
