Could there be such thing as wolf play? if so what sort of things would it include? i dont mean like wild wolves, the ones that are a bit more domesticated

When I think of pet/animal play I think of the animal in a submissive role (kitten, puppy, fox, horse, bunny) but when I think of wolves I think of a dominate animal.
I did a google search and found this article (http://www.indopedia.org/Petplay.html) which mentions wolf and werewolf play.
It mentions others Ive not heard of either such as snake & griffin play.
I can see where someone with a dominate nature might want to be a wolf and use that persona as he takes his mate, but I dont see it as being something that would done long term (hours or days at a time) like kitten/puppy play is done. Im not able to answer your question, maybe some of the other members will have an answer.
While looking for wolf play on google I came across something even more confusing to me. "Fish play" How on earth do you do that? Considering that all the fish Ive ever owned have died, I dont think thats one I will want to try.

Oh my! Fish play is a new one for me. lol! :) Actually, I knew of someone once who was a lemur! :) There are all kinds out there. I am sure there are some wolves somewhere though I haven't met any.

I went to a pet play lecture in San Francisco once, and there was someone playing as a wolf, so yes, it exists, at least for that one guy. Then again, considering all the fetishes that exist out there, I doubt there's any I could come up with that someone isn't already doing.
On the other hand, the wolf guy was more of a furry, I believe. Which isn't nearly the same as what Isabella is doing here (and frankly, I *love* what Isabella's kind of pet play is, and Furries, though I respect their right to do whatever they like, weird me out :) )
i got called a furry once and not knowing what it was i searched it and yeah, its a bit strange and not at all what im doing or what this site is about

talk to me about wolf play i can tell you things and furrys arent wierd i am one how is it any diffrent from what this is? i guess ina sense its slightly more mild but still
i guess it depends on what species your owner was a wolf would be more agressive a fox that would be weird since all foxes are subs and gay a cat would be caring but mean when you anger or "during" a bunny would just be caring and during he would be sub since they are dom cargivers but sub during
I'm in no way trying to be mean, or offensive, or sarcastic in this post. (Pre warning)
Jynx, my closest friend is in fact a furry, he's a furry that does fursuiting along with alot of others he knows. I've been to his house during a furry meet up and I can generally get along with them. Pet playdom and Furrydom are two very different worlds in that with furrydom you are trying to imitate that of a animal with human like characteristics (Bi-pedal, ability to speak, etc.). With Petplaydom its just the opposite consisting of a human with animal like characteristics (Cat ears, tail, etc.).
I guess it also go along like this:
Furry: "A little human with your pet?" Petplay: "A little pet with your human?"
I understand I'm new to this and if I'm overstepping my bounds I apologize but those are the main things I see as a difference. Also while tolerant and able to be around furries I am not one.

I see wolf play just as Puppy/Dog play, but with a much more stubborn/fierce animal being role played, however I may just be thinking to linearly. But there more than certainly is wolf play I would guess, There is a link to a website that talks briefly on it on the main page (Link here)

Ok, I dont know if this helps but my dominant persona is that of Jackal. In that guise I am not a person playing an animal, rather, I am an animal sensitive human. Think kind of like the dog whisperer but with more of an animalistic approach to pet training. I dont really concider myself a furry because I do not relate to that Genre. Weather or not I could qualify as one dosent really matter to me.
Anyhoo, I have temporarily "owned" a "furry" puppyboy during a play party and he played as a wolf. With him it was all about the pack mentality and being wild and untameable. Not that I had to beat him or anything but to get him to obey I had to prove my dominance for everything. For example he would attempt to steal food off of the table and where a puppy boy or girl would whimper and back off when scolded he would growl and act quite defensive. I had to treat him like the omega of the pack and prove my "alpha male" dominance to him before I could handle him.
Other wolf pets I have talked to have been just like him... wild and unpredictable to anyone they do not concider "Alpha"
hope that helped!

Personally, I see how wolfplay works (partially that's because my Foxz_lily is sub wolf) - after all, if there's a dominant wolf, there has to be a submissive wolf; a critter without another critter around is just a critter, and probably a very sad critter at that! The one switchup in our relationship is that I'm jaguar and he's wolf. Fortunately it works well nonetheless, after all, the dominance of a jaguar is a lot like the dominance of a wolf, with less tooth-bearing - for example, biting of the neck for "claiming" is very much the same.
My little wolfboy has no problem with this, either. Honestly, since I'm his mate and Domme, I don't see why he would. I probably wouldn't have any problem with him being dominant either, but that's the way the pizza slices - jaguars are just ****ing bigger than wolves, and I could probably kick his ass (not that I'd want to).
ok lets first think about the way wolves live. in the pac there are only 3 different personas they are 1 the Alpha male- he leads the pack and is resonable for their well being. 2 the Alpha female- she is the only female in the pack that is alowed to mate. she raises the pups young and is incharge of teaching them for the first 6 mo. 3 the pack member- a follower just your simple wolf
in the life of a wolf you are never alone. but way i could put this is like this. say your out in the woods taking a walk. up ahead you see a wolf come across the path. wile you wount see them but the rest of the pack is to your left, right and behind you.
as for wolf play. i can see it working but not that easly. its just how the animal is that you would be trying to portray. as always this is nothing more then my opion. Mark
Oooh wolf play! I have been thinking about it for a while, I might be a future wolf in the future. It could be domesticated or such but prefer it to be a bit more adventurous, wild, and a hard to tame task for the master.;]
I just need to make the tail, ears, ect and I'm good to go :D
I think wolf play would include a more wild and harder-to-tame kinda thing going on within the relationship, then again, i'm not sure...
